when they are already due a 13,500 crowd on new years day. It's pathetic that a small team in a lower league can get so many more fans. I know it's a new ground and everyone wants to go to the first match. But i reckon for the rest of the season they will average more than us.
It's you who makes us look stupid, even if they did get larger crowds than us so what? I'd much rather be playing in the championship than have 15000 watching every week in league 1!
Rovers average home league attendance 06/07: 6,276 Population of Doncaster: 128,000 % of population attending: 4.90% Reds average home league attendance 06/07: 12,002 Population of Barnsley: 72,000 % of population attending: 16.67 Nuff said
No No No.....................Donny Population of Barnsley - 70,000............but int Wombwell, Hoyland, Kendray, Thurnscoe, Darfield, Goldthorpe, Bolton, Cudworth, Grimethorpe etc etc etc in Barnsley ??? Population of Barnsley DISTRICT - 230,000 Population of Doncaster DISTRICT - 280,000...............cos Donny includes the Mexboro area (which int really Donny) I and a few more have been saying this for a while........ New ground new fans.........and with a bigger population, Donny are 'likely' to have bigger home gates than Barnsley However, the new Donny stadium can only hold 15,000 which of course will limit those attendances
RE: No No No.....................Donny Ok, if you want to be really pedantic, population of Barnsley MBC is 222k, Doncaster MBC is 294k (and Bolton on Dearne is actually in Rotherham MBC) Point still remains, our average home attendance is almost double theirs - one the novelty of the new stadium wears off their home average will be c7-8k at best, ours will still be c12k :$ :$ :$
RE: No No No.....................Bolton on Dearne Again wrong Bolton on Dearne...............is Barnsley..........the boundary actually stops just short of Harlington
