Doncaster Rovers are ready to snap up Switzerland international striker Innocent Emeghara from French side Lorient in an ambitious loan deal.

The swoop has been set up by Rovers agent Willie McKay who hopes to agree terms for the Norwegian-born hit man to arrive in the window.

Emeghara joined Lorient for around £5 million from Grasshoppers Zurich at the start of the season, but he has falllen out of favour and only made three appearances.

The young forward, who played briefly as a sub against England in the summer’s European championship clash, would be happy to come to the Championship and go on the stage to attract a bigger club.

Rather have someone who actually wants to be at the club rather than using us as an advertising tool. What identity can you have with a team like this? What made donny good was a bunch of hard working players who played decent football

Just a bunch of mis fits with no affinity to the club whatsoever. I had a grudging respect for Rovers under penny and o Driscoll, but they are heading for disaster with this I think.

One of the worst sides to play at Oakwell this season, they could have Messi up front and still be sh*t

Got to agree. This transfer policy seems like complete madness and is only likely to take them one way.

Its defenders they need not more attackers!!!
Very poor in defence I thought, the midfield never helped either.

It's like how I used to manage on the old Championship managers - sign nothing but strikers.

Obviously I agree with you all. But they did beat Soton yesterday 1-0. Lucky win?

I reckon very few of our own players fit that mould.

Let them continue as they are

so long as we give them an ass whooping at the Keepmoat again, I aint bothered, if they go down or stay up, they'll get what they deserve.
