Does anyone else use a dongle to connect to the net? I've had one (via 3) for about 3 months now, ever since I got my laptop. Most of the time it works fine but just lately, it keeps disconnecting for no apparent reason. When it starts doing this, it can often take the best part of an hour to get back online, just now being a prime example, despite signal strength showing as 4 out of 5 bars. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem?
assuming you mean mobile broadband? 3 have the worst coverage , I have one too.Rubbish.had I known then what I know now I would have gone with either Vodafone or Orange.not pay as you go like 3 but at least they work much better
Only wish it was PAYG It's a 12 month contract at £15 per month. It's worked well most of the time, it's just this week where it seems to have really started playing up.
maybe bad weather ?? after all its mobile broadband, a lot of mobile phones can and will play up in bad weather sometimes.Specially thunder and lightning stuff.
Do those things run on 3G? I just got a 3G mobile phone from 3 (Three), but not had a chance to use it properly as yet coz not got my number transferred.
I think they do I've seen something about 3G flash across the top of the small window that opens when I start to connect.
That thought crossed my mind But whilst today isn't exactly gloriously sunny, there's no rain, let alone a thunderstorm!
Yeah my 3 USB thing had been fine until the last week or so, the other night it took me about an hour to get online! Cant wait for this house to get broadband installed!
Vodaphone Mobile Connect Lite I use that here in spain, very good most of the time, prone to the odd lapse like any mobile phone. Oh and Tommy tyke's a perv!! dont want to go too far off topic of the day!
Isn't that the name of those schizophrenic supporters who can't make their mind up whether to support Barnsley or Rovers?
You'll be able to connect to t'internet via your new phone matey ... ... I can get 400kbps connecting my Nokia mobile to my laptop via Nokia PC Suite.
It's an option if you're desperate to connect while on he move but beware, it aint cheap. Even if you have a contract that gives you internet access via your phoen connecting via your laptop will use your allowance up very quickly (typically 500MB per month).
