Just wondering if this forum maintain a list of links to other L1 forums? I moderate the DRSG forum and I'm busy knocking up a sticky over there of all other L1 forums.

Anyway, all the best to you lot for next season (apart from when you play us, obviously) oh, and before the forum wags start, I'm fine for scrap metal and my house doesn't have wheels.

Depends entirely on the signings we make. I think PD has the capabilities to make a good go at L1 and the new board are making noises about giving him enough to build a better squad than we had last season but do far we've had some of our better players leave after activating release clauses and we've signed no one.

Aye, I've not been on since we played each other in that 2-2 draw I think. Too busy drowning my sorrows after an appalling year for football. And, to be fair, whenever I think of Donny now I can't help but shake my head. The other year it was the mercenary route with Mackay or whatever he was called, I thought that was bad, but chuffing trying to make money from teenage girls with this One Direction ********... seriously?


But in all seriousness, you do seem to have lost at least five of your better players in Tamas, Sharp, Duffy, Cotterill and Brown. Which begs the question, do Ryan and Louis have the funds (aside from the failing crowdfunder)?

 

John has a habit of bringing moneymen into the club - Beresford (spit), Bramall, Watson and now LT. I dare say he'll have more than the (£647,571 raised and counting) crowdfunder money to play with, he's already alluded to bringing in a wealthy associate of his.

 

£147,571 you mean. You can't include the £500,000 that LT and JR put in at the start.

I've got nowt against Donny, I wish you luck going forwards so long as it's not at our expense of course.

But whenever anyone mentions/thinks 'Doncaster Rovers' now, they think of One Direction. I couldn't cope with that were it my club involved. I'd find it embarrassing. I'm a massive blink-182 fan musically, but last night I was shown an image of Justin ******* Bieber wearing a blink-182 shirt. I had to wash my eyes out, with battery acid.

 

The piece Whitey posted on twitter from The People was appalling. Charging young lasses for pictures and a 10 minute chat with that tool from that boy band. Is that the sum of raising finances, fleecing parents so they can have his photo.

I'm more philosophical. The only way the club can monetise the LT fans is with a scheme like this, they're not likely to be popping down to the KM anytime soon and buying a pie. As long as the actual fans remain the clubs main effort I don't mind the club milking the disposable income of moist teenage girls in Butt****, Illinois.
