Cocky buggers or what? First we have Ryan having a dig at us and Crewe - the chairman of Donny Rovers, remember! - then we get Micky Walker on Rayjo Deedar saying he wants automatic promotion so they can bugger off on holiday nice and early! I had - <span style="font-style: italic;">had </span>- a lot of respect for what Donny have achieved in the last few years, but I just think they're starting to get a bit above themselves. I think they'll do well this season but after all the money they've spent I'd love it - <span style="font-style: italic;">love it</span> - if the wheels came off their cart again!
I'm starting to hate them more then wednesday fans, I guess it's the fans who've jumped on the donny bandwagon who are being arrogant! In response to Ryan's comments, compare Belle Vue and Oakwell Penny and Doncaster were grateful when we allowed them to use our training facilities 2 seasons ago, we had a good relationship with donny then but now.......
I do think for an intelligent man that Ryan might have thought twice before stoking things up between us, after what happened last season. There's never been trouble between Donny and Barnsley before, there's always been a healthy respect between the two communities because of the coalfields, but stupid or thoughtless comments by prominent people on top of last year's shenanigans do worry me. He probably thought he was being funny but he ought to have engaged his brain before he opened his mouth. IMHO.
something along the lines of he'd let Dave Penney talk to a big club if one came in for him, but not the likes of Crewe or Barnsley.
