seem to remember similar size crowds in the run up to promotion in 1997 and then filling oakwell for the bradford game

Pressed the wrong button there mate??

A few things to take into consideration.

    1. We were playing top notch football that was pleasing to the eye
    2. We were on the promotion route to the premiership which obviously adds extra fans
    3. Tickets were cheaper

i take it back, the crowds were a little bit better in 1997 but don't forget that up until April te bigger gates were against teams with pretty decent away support

If we win our next two away games and the other results go our way, I'm willing to bet the next home game will be 12000+

they still mustered a fair few though. im sure if they had been still in the game they would have filled the north. I cant remember any spaces in the Barnsley areas, although i was in the Eaststand that season near the front so i didnt have a great view.
