seem to remember similar size crowds in the run up to promotion in 1997 and then filling oakwell for the bradford game
Pressed the wrong button there mate?? A few things to take into consideration.
We were playing top notch football that was pleasing to the eye We were on the promotion route to the premiership which obviously adds extra fans Tickets were cheaper
sure did i take it back, the crowds were a little bit better in 1997 but don't forget that up until April te bigger gates were against teams with pretty decent away support
jan
ipswich 9872
feb
port vale 12246
wolves 18024
mar
swindon 8518
sheff utd 14668
WBA 12087
apr
birmingham 13092
charlton 11701
oldham 17476
bradford 18605
If we win our next two away games and the other results go our way, I'm willing to bet the next home game will be 12000+

RE: in the playoffs Probably down to us walloping them in the first leg that they didnt bring that many. Im sure our parts of the ground were full on the night.
RE: in the playoffs they still mustered a fair few though. im sure if they had been still in the game they would have filled the north. I cant remember any spaces in the Barnsley areas, although i was in the Eaststand that season near the front so i didnt have a great view.
