So awake a hour longer tomorrow and knackered on Monday!!

Cause I'll go to bed as normal tonight, sleep same length of time but when I wake up will be a hour earlier than normal, but go to bed at usual time tomorrow night!

Way I'm going at the moment I probably will do!

Trying to stay up to catch the start of the baseball at 1am.....if I make that then I could be up for a while!

3 days to get over the jetlag from a trip to the States perhaps.

Anyway, I was up this morning at same time I usually am on a Sunday - mind you, I didn't go to bed til 2am or was it 1am?!

 

i've always wanted to know what happens if a crime is reported during the night when the clocks have gone back how do they decide that time it happend?

 

It really is a minefield, isn't it?

I just don't know humanity copes with such self-inflicted anarchy. It must be the spirit of the blitz, holding us all together through these dark days.

 

If it's at 1:30 before the clocks go back it will be recorded as 1:30BST, if it's after the clocks went back it will be recorded as 1:30GMT

or maybe they just let them off and it's a free for all for criminals!

I'm not sure which.



I used to often work nights when the clocks went back - thats a disheartening night to work I'll tell you! One place I worked at we used to do archiving on the computer system....and it was a lengthy process so the additional hour over the weekend was important. Had to gradually move the system clock back after you'd done some backups, backups would take 20 mins so you'd set the time back to what it was when you started the backup until eventually you'd got to the right time, couldn't keep the system running and just put the time back as you can screw up databases.
