Cant be as bad asn our Rover 75, only done 16.000 miles and had new coil packs, new HT leads, Seized bonnet catch, Petrol pump housing, Now the Feckin Cylinder Head Gasket has blown. Beginning to hate it. :((

dont tell me you went and bought the k series engine 1.8,universally renowned for head gasket failure,do the research next time!the 2.0 and 2.5 versions are the most reliable, the deisels are all but bmw's bar the badge.

    Why?

Bought mine from them last September, excellent service from them, absolutely no problems with the car since.

They're pretty good at aquiring franchises though.

I noticed Ted Johnson is now a FIAT dealer. How many types of car does he now "specialise" in?

I'm not sure any of the main dealers are much cop. If you have got a duff vehicle, the dealer won't help you out - that's a fact. They just wash their hands of the whole thing and direct you to the manufacturer - it's just a pity they never seem prepared to act on anyone's behalf.

For similar reasons - don't get me started with PERRYS. I took my Astra back with two genuine manufacturing faults (over a period of time) and the best they could do was try to sell me another one exactly the same.

I won't even purchase a reds shirt on the basis that the PERRYS is written on the back.

One thing that does puzzle me with dealers though

Bought a new Seat Ibiza last September - in October they sent me details of the new Seat Leon! Yes I often change my car a month later!
