RECOVERING midfielder Ronnie Wallwork would pull on a Barnsley shirt again in a heartbeat after Reds supporters flooded him with messages of support.

The 29-year-old is back at home after an incident in Manchester last month which left him with serious stab wounds.

Ronnie has been overwhelmed by the support from the Reds faithful and told the Official Barnsley FC Website (www.barnsleyfc.co.uk): "I would like to thank everybody connected with Barnsley Football Club for the messages of support over the last month. I was watching the game against West Brom on SKY and to see things flash up on the advertising boards was just brilliant.

"I have had hundreds of messages of support and hundreds of e-mails from Barnsley supporters which made me feel a lot better, especially when you think that I only played two matches for the Club. Barnsley is a special place and I would like to thank everybody.

"I would play for Barnsley Football Club again in a heartbeat. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and we did really well. The supporters and their messages have been overwhelming and I would like to wish everybody all the best for the rest of the campaign".

"At the moment I am just concentrating on recovering. I have another hospital visit in a month and we will take it from there".
