    CLUB CHAPLAIN ORGANISES HOMELESS APPEAL
Posted on: Thu 27 Sep 2007

BARNSLEY FC chaplain Peter Amos has today appealed for help as he organises a special harvest festival campaign.

Peter is collecting tins and packed goods for distribution to homeless charities and would like Reds supporters to do their bit to help.

Simply drop off any tins or packed food to the Reds Superstore and we will forward them to Peter.

Peter will distribute the donations this Sunday (September 30) so supporters have until close of business on Saturday (September 29) to drop off their tins.

    Thank you.

    REDS BACK CHRISTMAS APPEAL
Posted on: Thu 27 Sep 2007

BARNSLEY FC are calling on Reds fans support as Oakwell again backs the Operation Christmas Child campaign.

Organised by the Samaritans Purse, the Operation Christmas Child campaign sees hundreds of thousands of gifts distributed to children throughout Eastern Europe. Barnsley Football Club have backed the campaign for the last three years and proud that so many Reds fans have taken time to donate shoebox gifts.

In 2006 hundreds of Barnsley supporters donated shoebox gifts as part of more than a million delivered to children throughout Eastern Europe in Romania, Poland, Albania, Croatia, Crimea and Azerbaijan.

Operation Christmas Child brochures are available in the Reds Superstore here at Oakwell and will also be distributed at forthcoming home matches in the run up to the festive period. The more people who act, the more happiness we can bring to less fortunate children around the world. Please act now.

All you have to do is take your shoebox either the Reds Superstore at Oakwell. The Reds Superstore is open from 9.00am every day except Sundays and extra hours in the build up to matches.

Although Christmas may seem a while away, the months will pass quickly. If you can help now, please do so.
