    MEDIA RELEASE

BARNSLEY Football Club has moved to fight allegations made by Scnuthorpe United Football Club in relation to the summer signing of Richard Kell.

The Club has today appointed former Football Association Compliance Officer Graham Bean to defend the Reds in the strongest possible terms against the claims from Glanford Park.

Graham, together with his company Football Factors, have successfully defended the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Sam Allardyce and Jamie Redknapp in FA disciplinary issues in recent years and will now be working with the management at Oakwell in the coming weeks.

Graham said: "We will leave no stone unturned to protect the good name of Barnsley Football Club in the light of these allegations, which we intend to fight strongly and vigorously".

    Oh dear

Owt to do with a premature announcment about his signing? If we're fined will the Club pay it or the individual who made the alleged comment?

    Someone is taking it seriously

I suppose BFC have got to be prepared to answer questions that Scnuthorpe have asked.

But in reality that press release tells us nowt..

so you can only assume that we have been/will be charged with making an illegal approach and therefore must defend it...

    Better to be prepared.

It does sound as if they are expecting to defend themselves.

It will cost money to defend it as well.

But if we are found Not Guilty

wouldn't Scnuthorpe have to pay the costs?

    RE: Oh dear

Do you have any idea what the hell is going on? If you were on trial for a crime you would be represented by a Barrister to defend your position.

If the club had not got advice or representation you would be saying they were not professional. They have got somebody on board to defend their position lets just await the outcome shall we?
