I get a picture of Shep talking to SD, and it sounds summert like this.................. Shep.........well, thats two centre halves we have missed out on this week, what about this Brazilian bloke that we don't know anything about SD............beggers can't be choosers, bring him in and we'll look at him, can we fix a trial up for him All in all - it dosen't look too promising. Players that are any good dont need trials. The central defence has been a problem now since this time last season. And its still not sorted.
are you going into panic mode already? If we've signed a player without a trial there's a good chance he'll have been scouted beforehand. Maybe this Brazilian is a bit of an unknown quantity so we're seeing how he goes before making a decision.
RE: are you going into panic mode already?........................YEP....big time I don't want to suffer this season like I did the last Get a decent goalkeeper (this looks like its in hand) Two DECENT centre backs And a replacement for Nardiello And I'll be looking forword to the new season because in other areas of the team I think we are much stronger this time round
I thnk the major problem is we've spent the best part of 3 years looking for a 'centre half' and all we can find is 'centre backs'. We need some metric defenders and no mistake. Centre halves only run in yards and inches, we need people who can run in metres and cms to compete with modern 'strikers' and that. BFC need to wake up and smell the fairtrade coffee.
RE: Who's the two we've missed out on?!............assumption We need 2 so hopefully they have been after 2 But yer know what they say at Barnsley.........2 and 2 makes 1..........and be chuffing thankful for the one
RE: are you going into panic mode already?........................YEP....big time We don't want to suffer like we did last season... with all the doom and gloom that you spread.
RE: are you going into panic mode already?........................YEP....big time You are confusing doom and gloom and negativity with "wanting whats best for the club"</p> </p>
because no other football clubs take players on trial !!! remember to take the pills nudger...........
What about the German defender we've never heard of? Or the Peruvian striker we've never heard of? Why is paying money out straight away for unknowns a better option than taking someone on trial? Besides, he might be on trial to test his fitness rather than his ability.
Do you test drive a car before you buy it? Be madness to take a player who probably hasn't been scouted extensively beforehand without checking that he's up to the grade. You of all people would be the first to moan if we signed him and he wasn't good enough.
Rubbish, Gaz. We shouldn't ask a 4ft tall lad, who claims to be George Weah's cousin, in for a trial. We should pop him straight into the first team. Then substitute him 10 minutes later. We should get Phil Spector on trial. Oh, wait a minute.
