and here is why its a Korean warry story now i drove a Ten tonner out there and my main job was taking 12x12 timber to make Bunkers Now this Leyland Hippo had a fault with it if you just let the enginge tick over you had no breaks i never had any trouble, until one day i had to pick up a load of sand bags Yankee Nylon sand bags now it wont be too difficult to imagine the predicament i got into i had 6 Korean service men with a sergy( he caleed himself me sergy we could communicate pidgeon english he rode in the Cab(goo job too) now the road part of it was very steep,like any oneones of the local hills round barnsley but longer steeper, no kerbs if your off the road your in trouble paddy fields ,mine fields i had done this run many times always got bottom gear BUT,on this occasion with five korean sat on the Sandbags i Missed the gear half way up the hill i coud not let the revs die down to put in gear i said to the Sergy Under wheels, Bags under wheels suddenly he got it shouted to the lads they put the bags under the wheels i rested on them got into bottom gear and left a pile of sand bags the koreans made short work of them with them being Nylon there were several new houses made of them in the End i won a cup driving that truck
