Thats B*ll*cks I'm afraid mate, they are all better than Tommy Wright, Conlon and the like. I stil think KO will become a useful player, doesn't help that second half we created **** all for any of our forwards. 1st half Odejayi was creating problems for their defence and looked like a handful, unfortunately Ferenczi didn't look half the player he was and Mossto didn't impress...still I think they could all add something to the squad.

That said, right now we need a striker who can hit the net, and a midfield who can provide some sort of service

All they add to the squad is numbers mate.

Odejayi is worse than Tommy Wright, Mostto is worse than Nards and we are paying them more money.
We are in January and Odejayi has played more games than any other striker at the club this season and scored 1 fecking goal. Thats ****. He did not have a single shot on target, only 1 off target. Mostto did not have a single shot at all. In the first 10 mins I thought it was going to be the day that they both came good, however I now realise that they never will, at least not at Barnsley FC.

They are costing us dear.

It really is like playing with 9 men. I really hoped they would come good but football isn't a charity and I can't support players that are bringing my club down. How long exactly are`they going to take to come good...another 10 games...15...we haven't got the luxury of experimenting until they find their bloody feet!

are we talking about Howard and McCann here?

If we are then you're right, it's like playing with 9 men.

I feel sorry for the strikers who haven't had a decent ball to them from the middle of the park for weeks.

Agree completely. I can't do with his 'give them time' ***** after so long. 1 goal in half a season is just not good enough.

I can't have a go at KO today specifically becuase he had no service and wasn't the worst player on the park by some distance. However, we are not talking about one game we are talking about half a season.

To those that continue to say give him time, how many times does it happen that a striker who doesn't look like he has what it takes after so many games eventually come good and turn into a prolific goalscorer. There may be odd examples but it doesn't happen very often. You can tell by now surely that KO just hasn't got what it takes at this level.

No he wasn't and no he didn't. He was ok first half at best, but in all honesty he was quite easily contained by a poor Norwich side. Never even looked close to scoring.

In our last 3 home league games we have scored 6 and conceded 8

And all the blame is being heaped on our strikers.
I Know they aren't perfect but quite a lot of our goals come because of the work they do

but why isnt the defence and defensive midfield getting similar criticism?

LOL maybe I should

just think its strange the strikers are getting the lions share of the blame when we are letting in 3 goals a match :)

If the ball stayed up with the strikers

then maybe we would not concede so many?
Or if the defenders stopped giving the ball away by lumping it up field, the strikers might be able to do something(I know that is stretching things a bit) and if the midfield can actually play as a unit, then both the defenders and strikers could maybe stick to their own jobs.

Football is a simple game , lets try and keep it simple, that way it should be within the average IQ of a pro footballerat Oakwell
