Don't wish to be negative but I think we should prepare ourselves for the worst

P'boro will not lose to a side that don't need to win.

Irrespective of other results, we then have to go away to a dirty, well organised, in-form Robins team and win when they have it in confidence that they only need to draw. They'll park the bus and be dangerous on the break, just like we used to be under him.

Stranger things have happened in football but it's going to take a monumental effort. God do we deserve it though, C.O.Y.R!

PEterborough who were less than convincing v a poor Wednesday side?
Palace cant just play for a draw in frint of their own nervous fans. Unless results are going their way, they have to go for it.
Let Flicker worry about Huddersfield. We are capable of beating them. End of.

I'm not saying this is an easy task, but we have, unlike any other team, momentum, coupled with an astonishing amount of backing, regardless of where we are. Other teams just have the nervousness. We have fans who will still be singing on til the end.

I dint think there is a team any more united with their fans than us. If we go down, we go down... We'll still be there.

I agree with all of what you've said but this line here, unless the BBC table is lying to me simply isn't the case.

Hell will freeze over before Forest beat Leicester 6-0. A draw will be plenty for CP, it just might not be for P'Boro.

They have to go for broke..if forest and bolton win and they are beaten they're out of the play offs...besides that boring draws are not Ollys thing

Think the point that fired was making is that Palace can't just play for the draw because Posh will be gunning for a win and we all know that teams that play for a draw invariably come unstuck. That is not to say that a draw is not enough for Palace, it is, but they can't start the game looking for one because if they do, they won't get it.

I agree with you though in your OP - Huddersfield will, under Robins, be starting to become adept at eeking out results, they know that a draw is enough for them and even if they lose, it still takes Posh and Weds to both win, plus Millwall to pick up a point, to put them in trouble, so it is, for them, worth the risk of sitting back to ensure they get the draw - they just dare not lose. They will play a 8-1-1 formation for sure, and it will be like banging on a closed door if we don't score early. If they break out and go in front they can afford to go 10-0-0 and we are surely fecked.

If we only needed a point to secure our championship status on Saturday, would we be going for broke?

Good point about teams sitting on draws but its just a lot easier for the fans and players walking into their home stadium knowing that all they've got to do is avoid defeat against P'Boro. It just depends how you look at it really and crucially, how they approach the game.

Absolutely..there's no surer way of losing..than playing for a point...that is unless the opposition are as well

Yh but if you 'go for broke', you will inevitably leave more gaps for the opposition to exploit.

Another thing about the P'Boro v CP game is that it won't even start until we're winning ours. So we shouldn't worry too much about it anyway. When the games KO or while ever we're still drawing, P'Boro don't need to do anything and it could be quite a cagey game down there. IMO
