I'll start of with an apology, I'm more of a reader of this board than a poster and this message is not meant in any way to offend anyone. After reading through this board this morning (couldn't face reading it last night) I felt compelled to write a post this morning. To start off with I was as disappointed as anyone after 97 minutes had gone, I in fact sat with my head in my hands for a short while and for some reason saw it appropriate to slap the back of the empty seat infront of me when the ref (who I thought has a stinker) blew the final whistle. I also for a short time refused to clap as the players came back out to a quickly emptying Oakwell and instead stood with my arms crossed, sulking. I think it was because we were so close to doing our bit and picking up 3 points which is all we'd asked for at 3pm. Getting celebratory messages from Bradford fans didn't help either. Then I had my moment of realisation. What am I doing? These players have given their all for a large proportion of the season (I'm not including that run!) and deserve at least a round of applause as they show off the JPT! Let's be honest no one would have expected this that at Xmas. Yesterday some players didn't perform, some looked nervous, some were awful and some were brilliant (Fletcher!!!). But I don't agree with certain players getting slated. Conner has been singled out by some fans for the blame. That's the same Connor who was standout MOM against Oxford. Leads the assists charts. Has moments of magic. What do we really expect from him? He's a L1 player! Not premier league! So here is my thoughts, I think we will go to Wigan on Sunday and put in a gritty performance. Our away form has been superb. We've got it all to do so might as well just go for it. And if we don't do it then fair enough, we've already had a victorious trip to Wembley this season. Let's thank the lads for that and thank them for that! Let's get behind them. We all have tricky fixtures left and anything could happen! Thanks for reading, I needed to get it off my chest. YOU beautiful REDS!
