Just got 2 words for you:

    Kevin.
    Blackwell.

    Just that.

Did young Harry Potter swap his McIndoe shirt for a Knight one as you said?
If so - the poor lad better get to the clubshop again.

A couple in and a couple out is my best guess.

I just hope we actually sign some genuine quality.

Maybe he was the best available

at least we can hopefully strengthen the squad with immediate effect. quality required all over the field. lets wait and see.

    He sure was.

Shame he didn't stick up for him at the first sign of things going wrong though.

Didn't Cryne state on Radio Sheff that they'd be appointing an experienced Manager with "modern coaching techniques" amongst his armoury?
Maybe he couldn't get anyone "box office" enough?

No, he said he wanted a good young coach.

Cue jokes about a 07 plate 53 seater.

I must be going deaf as well as bald.

I listened to the interview & thought he clearly stated that Davey wouldn't have much of a chance due to his lack of experience etc.
I also clearly remember the "modern coaching techniques" bit & "bringing players on from the academy" ... I just didn't realise "modern techniques" meant "just qualified, with no Managerial experience" & "bringing academy players on" meant "appoint the academy manager".

I can make fancy graphs & reports.
I must be in the running for Sir Alex's job when he packs in?

Happy New Year & all that too.

    Speculation on names

Redfearn and Winstanley? impossible to please everyone. I didnt want Ritchie and I did want Hart. shows what I know. but its not about pleasing 20 or so know alls on here, else we shouldve made the choice via a poll. its about getting the right man to please the 10,000 with results. personally, I'd prefer to have a low profile manager and a few high profile players rather than the other way round. if Worthington wasnt interested in the Wendies job, what makes people think he would entertain coming to us?

aye, another year over, and a **** one just begun.

I recall the second bit but not the first. Davey's been nailed on since day one.

    Grrr.

I am shaking my fist at your beard.

I think Paddy & Gord should turn down every radio interview.
They're about as good at them as a Grant McCann corner.

    Team for Setdi:

    Colgan
    Tonge Reid Atkinson Heckingbottom
    Togwell Letheren Williams Dossier
    Nardiello Hayes

Subs: McCann, Richards, Wroe, Cryne & Shepherd

To be fair - if Williams can get a shirt in the middle of the park - it's only a matter of time until our reserve keeper gets the nod there.

What abart that Edna who looks after the players' car park?

She could slot in nicely at left back!
She stands on the left of the entrance so she'll be well used to the left side position.
She dunt half bomb forrard when some other car than a player's approaches her position!!

I think that the Williams thing in midfield was Davey's cleaver ploy to tire Wednesday out. "We'll put Williams there cause he's so fat that they'll tire themselves out running round him". Unfortunately, Wednesday saw through the cunning plan and simply passed it over him.
