Are the Doom Mongers on this board of a month ago the end of the world prophets on here now? And are last month's Happy Clappers still not taking it as seriously as they should be doing? Has the latest situation caused a us to divide on different lines or are there more open minds this time? We all want the same outcome, be it for the club or against the virus, i.e. survival, but are we beginning to fall out in the same groups about how we think it should be achieved? I'm usually a glass half full type so, as you'd expect, a happy clapper and in the don't panic camp. Have we all stayed true to type?
I'm a happy clapper when it comes to football. I think this virus is extremely serious and we need to take it very seriously. I like to think that I apply logic in every situation in life. My stances on both 'issues' is always one based on the statistics.
whats the old saying something like there's lies, damnded lies, and statistics, but on the whole a happyclapper and self isolationist but if i'm in the garden or see a mate walk past i still have a chat 3-4 metres away so its no task
Depends what statistics you look at! The form, PPG since struber came in, chances created, shots taken were all giving me hope. I will admit that the last 2 games before the suspension killed that hope almost completely, though.
I'm generally optimistic about The Reds' prospects but as far as COVID-19 is concerned I'm far more pessimistic.
Im desperately trying to be a happy clapper on both the football and the virus - regarding football I was failing and sure we were down - then we won 3 and hope started to kindle back to expecting relegation now, but in the grand scheme of things I really dont care on that I just hope I am still watching us with my dad next season - if I am we could be in the conference for all I care I dont think the term applies to Covid-19 though - when the most positive outcome is reducing the number of deaths to tens of thousands and job losses to only a million its hard to apply the happy clapper logic
Not me, think the worlds gone mad tbh, yes it’s serious but it’s no Ebola or Black Death . Just my two pennarth...
