It would be nice to think a lower end Champ club, struggling for a signing to appease supporters, could chuck a random £1m bid our way, but yes, I agree take the 500k if offered. Even from Wrexham or Brum

Can't see us selling him until they get a LWB in as he will have to cover that spot until someone else comes in.

He won't get a spot in midfield over the options we have now.

I can't see Styles being in the first 11 under Clarke.

He is now probably our highest earner and if he is not starting games then needs moving on.

My only concern is that he applied himself like that at home to Port Vale on the opening day last season. I distinctly remember saying that if Styles played like that all season, he'd be like a new signing. But then he flattered to deceive once the window shut. I really hope he takes this season as an opportunity to at least put himself in the shop window if nothing else.

That's my hope too. He has the ability, but does he want to be here? No, but, if no decent offers come in he's going to be here till the end of the season anyway. We should not be loaning him out. **** or bust for his future, even if he leaves on a free at the end of the season. ball in your court then Stylo.

Styles, McCarthey, Russell, Cotter, Watters, Marsh all need moving on and probably loans for Shepherd and Lopata

Styles goes straight in the first team for me. Easy decision.

If Styles wants a decent move on a free next season he needs to pull up some trees for us this season.

In a few years, Callum Styles will be a really great top player lol.
The problem is though, we were saying that about him three years ago!.

He’s in the shop window for the first month so i would expect him to give everything my worry would be if he doesn’t get a move by the end of August will he get the face on , hopefully not.

It's a no brained anyway. Cadden was dogger last year and we have a better left back out on loan. Don't get me wrong, Collins quite clearly didn't have any kind of technical nous to play styles properly but the new chap may have and that means we can concentrate on the forwards.

If Styles plays like he did against Mallorca, he has to start, if he stays with us. I suspect that is what Clarke thinks too, in view of the fact that he was given the captain's armband when Connell went off. Styles excelled as a wing-back in the Championship during Ismael's tenure, so there's no doubting his ability in that role. I hope he stays and plays to his full potential.

From what I have seen of and heard from Clarke, I reckon he is going to be excellent at man management and, as such, I think there is a good chance he will get the best out of Styles, if the latter stays with us.

I don't want any player at our club that doesn't want to be here. Look at Kane and Cole last season after the January window slammed shut. Bye Callum, you won't be missed.
