Hardly seemed to be in the game at all last night. He had a one blast at goal but hardly touched the ball apart from that, unless I missed something?
Thought he did quite well battling for the ball in the air and breaking the play up actually. He just can't pass or shoot.
His work never seems to be seen but Robins, a man who beleives in players form, wouldn't be playing him if he didn't think he was up for it.
The game seemed to pass him by for me. I would have prefered Halfredson to be honest at least he gets on the ball more.
Been pointed out before.... ... when he is in the team, we seem to be stronger. Thought he did okay last night.
he's not there for his flair - got a specific job and seems to do it well, also noticed on Monday the amount of chatter he does with the back four and midfield - needed that for a while. his quick intervention between Davies and Macken probably saved Macken a booking or worse (Davies should have been off though - intent was there if not connection)
He's a holding Midfielder - don't expect 15 goals a season from him - that's not his job! same goes for Colace. I think they are both quite good and the results when they have played together in the middle of the park are proof enough that it works. It's crazy that ppl have a go at Colace on here, he's probly one of the best defensive midfielders in the division. He is there to break up opposition attacks, and IMHO I think he's very effective at it.
Whilst you're right... ...at least we're winning games and picking up points with this right back in the middle. You can play Boggy in the net for me as long we win 3-0.
It's OK breaking up the play but then passing it straight to the opposition puts us back in trouble. Having said that, results speak for themselves... It's also pleasing to see the public not jumping on the managers back as soon as he plays someone "out of position"...
Colace has changed a bit since doyle came to oakwell. You can see his south american firey personality and he his starting to get in to the box well. Also at times hes the only one that nos what andersons going to do.
Phil Brown talks about Nathan Doyle Manager Phil Brown said of his first permanent signing as City boss: 'He's a very intelligent, aggressive and combative midfield player who found himself more of a utility player in the Under-18s and Under-19s because he could play at right-back as well as in the centre or right side of midfield.' </p>
Played some games in midfield for Hull ................ ......... only Davey who plays players out of position for no reason
