Terrible marking from another corner put us 1-0 down inside 5 minutes proving that it's not only Wiseman who can lose a man. I thought Steele should have perhaps done better with it, although it was at the other end and I'm getting old, so I'm not sure. You could have then gone to sleep for half an hour and you wouldn't have missed a thing. Burnley set up camp in their own half and we passed it about from side to side. Then we actually tried a cross in to the box and Tudgay scored with a good header from our first effort at goal. Second half Burnley continued to defend and although we had a few decent efforts from long range we didn't really look like scoring. Neither did they like and at least we were trying to be positive. Then in injury time Sinclair got free from his marker and ran for goal at some pace only to be cynically brought down. Their defender made no attempt at to get the ball. It was a professional foul, he should have seen red. We really could have done with a win, but we just weren't good enough. We looked a lot steadier at the back than we did against Cardiff, but then again Burnley weren't as good as Cardiff. Going forward we still take too many passes instead of trying to get in a cross or play that killer ball. I don't think Mellis offers us anything out wide, while RNL also struggled particularly in the first half. Don't know where the next victory is going to come from.
Cheers jay. Next win v Sheffield w? Although I fancy us to sneak 3pts from Watford or Leicester. How were buszaky and greening?
Dropped Wiseman, finally, and we looked more solid agree mostly with your assessment, and respect to Hill for making tough decisions - subbed Davies and Mellis tonight, arguably our best 2 players, but they didnt influence the game enough so need the reminder.
They both looked OK. Greening won the MOTM again, but I think that was only because it's in his contract that he's got to win it. We needed a bit more flair from the wide areas, but it just wasn't there today.
