    Proof of that:-
Barnsley ( top 6 ) lost 14 matches this season
    Oldham ( bottom 3 ) lost 3 matches less then us 11

    BUT
    Barnsley drawn 4 matches
    Oldham drawn 16 matches.

proof indeed that 3 points for a win makes it far more valuable to go for a win that stick for a draw. obviously short term a draw is sometimes ok too!

    Wins>Draws>Losses...who would have thought?!

We have won the same amount of games as Wigan in 2nd. But their 9 more draws see them 9 points better off. Crazy stuff....

Unlikely to happen.......but you could go through a season unbeaten and get relegated with 46 points.
Wins are good. I think Dale lost 21 games last season and still finished 8th! Won 19 and only drew 7.

Had we drawn 6 of the games we've lost, which was entirely possible, we'd be top 3

We are probably too many points behind the others - apart from yourselves - and 7 points is a lot to make up - especially as you seem to be getting even better performances now - not just winning. We've 3 very tricky games coming up in March with bury,Oldham and Wigan - Hill dont seem to get the team up for derbies , always playing down their importance "just another game" mentality - and it hasn't worked upto now. 3 great wins these past 4 games for us though against Fleetwood,Sheffield United and Coventry - not great performances but the points are all that matter at this stage.
