Dreamboy 3000 Match Review

negatives:

1. throwing away a lead for the second match in a row to a bad team.
2. the few attempts we got were wasted with tame efforts.
3. we seemed to play direct for too long.
4. 2 points dropped in a game we shouldnt have drawn.
5. devanney knock. he didnt do anything before he went off but hope hes alright.

positives:

1. moved up one.
2. didnt lose.
3. austin played good again.

 

To a bad team?

Easily the best footballing side at Oakwell this season and a team who've won 5 away games this season. Aye, crap.

And I was trying to pick out someone who played particularly badly, Austin would have been up there for me. Everything they did first half, and some of second half, was down his flank.

hartlepool were one of the best sides i,ve seen at barnsley this season,even in the 1st half they looked good going forward,i agree austin wasn,t very good he was responsible for their goal.It leaves me with one question did you go to the game!

I didn't think Hartlepool were much good myself, though Carbon was poor when he came on and Austin didn't want the ball all game.

Dunno what Richie said at half time but the players seemed to have lost all enthusiasm for the game when they came back out.

hartlepool wasnt anything special. they were just made to look good. carbon didnt do badly when he came on. and the reason i liked austins perfomance was because he was the only defender what made challengers. all the others would keep backing off and letting them come forward. you can always rely on austin to do some good tackles.

 

Yeh , but his lightweight challenge led to them scoring.

, but as he has been generally rubbish when I have seen him this season then I dont know what I expected.

 

Austin played good-no way -he was very poor

they had obviously worked him out at half time-time and time again he was out of position with carbon desperately trying to cover both positions-Hassell had difficulties against his winger as well-got caught too far forwards then lost  the ball

 

Thought their number 7 had a great game..

you can allways rely on him to drop bollocs as well,his distrubution is terrible,sorry but if we can replace him i would!
