According to sky they are going to make a bid to MUFC for him. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11713/7441088/Leicester-line-up-Drinkwater
Fester shitty can **** right off. Don't think Danny boy will want to go to the king prawn to join little leicester anyway.
IF we are ever planning on doing anything, then the board needs to back Hill, so he can go out and get players like this! Come on! Bring him in permanently!!!
Re: A***holes Paul Walker has confirmed on Twitter, that Man United have accepted a bid for Drinkwater from Leicester. He's to hold talks with them, I assume today.
Re: A***holes Why aren't we doing anything about it?! Can we put a bid in? If he does go, then it just shows how shallow Rowings statement about backing Hill was. We're just a club who will never, ever do anything but languish in and around the bottom end of the Championship, unless we start to build.
I reckon around £500,000. We've just got £250,000 for Haynes. Surely we could put some cash up and invest in what will undoubtedly be a great asset for us.
Let's hope he gets the backing of the board if he decides he wants to try and get Drinkwater permanently.
If he's any sense he'll tell where to shove it. Seems to me he enjoys playing for us and Hillcroft on a regular basis, plus he's already commited himself to us for the season, so hopefully he has abit of loyalty. Money talks though
Has he committed to the end of the season though? I know we have him on loan till the end of the season, but clubs often 'recall' players.
I'm pretty sure it'll be more than £500k. Let's be honest, Man Utd have offered him a new contract and he's still only 21 - it'll be something like £500k plus lots of add ons. Also Man Utd will probably want the money up front (something we can't do). Just because Drinkwater is a good player (and he really is), it doesn't mean we should chuck money at getting him. The club has to support itself. Anyway, according to Radio Sheffield previously Drinkwater loves playing under Hillcroft (especially Flicker), so hopefully that'll sway him.
Re: A***holes Ask Mark and Simon where the money went. Unless we get 20,000 every game we aren't now in the market for high transfer fees and wages.
Re: A***holes The extra money Robins spent was authorised and paid for directly by Cryne. The issue we have is that funding is no longer available and the gates we get are dreadful.
