Missed the most obvious ones.. Remember to check at junctions.

It does work both ways though especially for younger bikers who still think they are immortal like the one who undertook me as I was indicating left as I approached a junction earlier this week - fortunately I had checked my nearside mirror and saw him coming and was able to slam on the anchors as he sailed up the inside.

The other one that quite annoys me is on a narrowish stretch of road I regularly travel down biker overtaking forcing oncoming cars to move right to the left of the road which has some good pot holes - though it doesnt annoy me as much as cars overtaking cyclists on the same stretch.

PS does the 30mph limit not apply to bikes ?

It doesn't say anything about, when driving in the Peak District on a narrow road and approaching a blind bend, expect the bike behind you to decide to overtake in a long queue of traffic but expect you to slam your brakes on to let him in when a lorry comes around the bend!

I thought it said filtering was legal.

I'd like to know why bikers thinks that it is OK to overtake several cars waiting at red traffic lights and then pull across the front car so that it cannot go until the biker has gone when the lights go green. Seen this on 2 or 3 occasions at Dodds corner lights.

Not suggesting it is against the law, but what I saw could be described as lacking consideration for other road users and dangerous. On the last occasion, the timing was such that the lights changed at the same time and the biker could quite easily have been knocked off as the 1st car moved forward. It's a bit like the 2 abreast bikers, its not not against the law but it is classed as inconsiderate in certain circumstances.

And when they think it's perfectly fine to ride literally a foot from your back bumper

Because they can, they're not breaking any laws and bikes will easily out accelerate any car from the lights so what's the problem? Not exactly an inconvenience to you.

    Filtering is.

However, common sense isn't a given.

there's good and bad in both car and bike users, like the pill.ock on a bike that was picking his way through traffic yesterday (apparently he was excused the speed limit) and decided to overtake me opposite a traffic island in the middle where there wasn't room without me braking
