Okay having a argument with a mate. He has got done doing 61 in a 30. He already has 3 points and its a new licence not even a year old. He had previously been banned for 2 years for drinkin driving, although he got it down to 18 months with a course.

He seems to think he will only get a short ban. I think they will take his previous into consideration and at the very least revoke his licence.

I hope they throw the book at him he clearly a menace on the road. What does everyone else think, know?

    61 in a 30

.. is a fairly serious matter I believe.

Presumably he is going to court for it, and it's not being dismissed as a fine and points?

If so I reckon he's up for a ban.

He deserves it of course. Should be banned from having a car, any pets, kids and owt else where you have to exercise a modicum of responsibility for 5 years.

    Fact.

and dependant on time of speeding incident in conjunction with the area that he was committing the crime, and the fact that the magistrate may be hungover after failing to get his conjugal rights form the mrs, the poor twit could be looking at 3 months!
