Egg on the faces of the England selectors for sure.

I think it might be 'cos he's been a bit crap last few games and never took a test wicket at Headingley, so I can see the selectors thinking, but it will probably be spinning like f**k by the 4th day now!!

Yorkshire regularly play with 2 spinners, 4 seamers gives little or no variation and when the sun shines there's no lateral movement. SA will not lose this match, especially from 80 odd for 0 having been put in.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Over reliant on the 'results' reputation of the pitch and the swing-friendly hype surrounding the ground. Very bad decision. Fighting for a draw already.

A draw easier gained with a bowler who can contain and stem the flow of runs - ie swann.

They needed to play Finn, but we're too frightened of the SA attack to play five bowlers or to drop bresnan, who I'm sure is in the team to bat more than bowl. Very tidy with the ball and gets one or two but he'd hardly intimidate most batting lineups never mind this lot.

I'd have gone prior six, five bowlers, unlucky James Taylor not this week. Bowl then out and back the top order to get the runs. Bresnan broad swann at seven eight nine wouldn't be so bad anyway.

I believe in fairies, the Easter bunny, and Keith Hill.

    Looks ok to me.

Couple of wicket early and England could have them all out for 350ish.
    Game very much on.
