After the win over Wednesday Duff mentioned in the post match presser the result was due to a month of hard work, having decided to change the formation after the opening game loss, one we had used for the whole of pre-season, Duff made the risky choice to slowly transition us from a 3-4-1-2 to a 3-4-2-1, solving our lack of striker/goals crisis. Fast forward from that first game to now and we are seeing both performances and results, going from little goal threat to now having 2 in form strikers battling for the one shirt and 2 frightening attacking midfielders in Thomas and Aitchison giving opposition defenders all sorts of headaches. Yeah we are still lacking in goal threat quality, but you’ve got to hand it to him, playing both behind a lone striker has worked a treat
