Why? I would have thought they would have played today. Unless there is something else going on!

Their doing training camp. Perhaps better to play day earlier in case of slight knocks

It would have given more fans time to organise day/wkend out or like Charlton don't it matter what fans would like?

Not exactly a scheduled game though. Had it been today reckon more would have gone? Maybe a few more but it's just gone Christmas and let's be fair a £200 trip. If you could afford that you probably can afford to take time off (or are own boss)

Makes sense for it to be on a Friday.

Gives them chance to play but still allows them to rest up for Tuesday night and have a good training session in time for the match.

I'm sure courthouse or outpost etc could have organised something for a lot less than that , their very resilient them lads
It could have been the Dundalk officials that wanted Friday night and as we don't know full circumstances don't want to come over too critical but it would have been a nice weekend imo
