When three teams (2 non leaguers 1 lower division) give us a tonking. Dread to think about QPR (doh) (doh) (doh)
Tells me they're friendly games and don't matter much Why fret? These are just games to blow the cobwebs off
I said on here a week or 2 ago. Simon Davey said "Judge me on MY team" Last season apart from a LUCKY cup run that team wasn't good enough & im afraid it will be the same this season
RE: Beating both Liverpool and Chelsea was lucky! 10 minutes from going out at 1st hurdle against Blackpool wonder goal got us through against Southend i could have finished 80% of the chances Liverpool missed Chelsea fair do's we deserved it but Cardiff was the same old story
Couldn't agree more we were very lucky last season with the cup run and i think it took peoples minds away from just how crp we were in the league at times, i really can't see us being any better this year although i pray i am wrong.
I'm honestly not looking forward to the new season at all. After all the bold strengthening promises and all the names being bandied around as probable signings I am distinctly underwhelmed. We've swapped Nyatanga for Moore and I know who I'd rather have. We've also signed two unknown foreigners with no experience of English football at all and paid way over the odds for a distinctly average striker in Hume. Are we honestly stronger Simon? Where's the left back we need and another striker? Only time will tell but it doesn't look good.
Unless there's more activity in the transfer market (Another Striker and Left Back!) Davey could be under real pressure to save his job come the end of September!
No they don't matter at all They are supposed to enable the Manager to try out players. tactics, formations, fitness. In all cased they were all 'negatives' like I said dread QPR (doh) (doh)
