Trawled thro some posts, and the prejudices have been dusted off regarding certain players and Ritchie etc.
It's half time, and Monday night will be different to last night. They'll be bricking it. We can have a right go with nowt to lose. Glad we're taking a standful, looking forward to it.

mate , fickle barnsley fans are out in force... win a game and its sweetnes and light get beat and it doom and gloom.. wheres the sense of reason ??
I used to think Barnsley fans were the best, most resolute in the land.
If the majority of this shower on here are owt to go by then the white flag is run up as soon as things aren't exactly 100% as they'd wish.
Nice to see the once a year lot depart Oakwell as soon as Hudds scored. Dunt come back.

Typical evening conversation bloke: "Where's that football shirt of mine love?" wife: "That old thing, you've not worn it in years.." bloke: "Yeah, but I'm going to the match tonight arent I. I need it" wife: "Well, it probably wont fit anymore" bloke slips on BFC home shirt, circa 1996 bloke: "Like a glove. ORA, who were they again?" wife: "Shows your gut off a treat" rather have the ground 2/3s empty.
id like em to come back actually , a full oakwell every week with a winning team and FANS WHO ACTUALLY GET BEHIND THE TEAM ALL THE TIME NOT JUST WHEN WE ARE WINNING OR WHEN ITS A BIG GAME !!!! ive got a feeling we will see the oakwell morgue return in august ,quickly followed by shouts of , you are rubbish... ( insert current boo boy here )
RE: Typical evening conversation Must admit thought it was 1997 round the Ponty. many, many ORA shirts.
I think Barnsley has been invaded in secret by foreign types, not solid reliable English types, probably Eyeties or filthy Mamluks. When things are going well they flock to the cause "me too, me too", but when the first reverse comes along they start to turn on their own or run away with their tails between their legs, leaving us hearty, stout (not fat), honourable and reliable proper folk to face the oncoming hordes alone. But we shall not falter, we shall not fail, none shall pass here without death on their face, onward dear fellows, onward and upwards to a better future. Have at them, kill them all. Sorry, may have got a bit carried away....
Close game between 2 evenly matched sides one mistake, one goal. another 90 minutes to play. reality check - we're in the playoffs. ffs.
me too. we don't need any money or owt do we and we could have done without that noise, singing and atmosphere during the game too. It was bloody irritating, I couldnt hear myself think for all the people decked in red and white giving barnsley their support.

Theres supporting your club and there's attending a game to moan that we dont play like Brazil anymore and players that we dont know the names of arent chipping it like they used to. the team have done tremendous this season to get into the playoffs. judging by the reaction on here and on leaving the ground last night, anyone wouldve thought we'd been relegated.
Folk are just pissed off 'cos we lost after the big build up I thought the backing the fans gave last night was spot on.
correct me if i'm wrong but wasnt last night the best atmosphere at oakwell in a long time? I remember lots of singing, lots of noise and a crowd full of RED.
I don't really give a **** if the people that were there complained after they left the ground, they certainly weren't complaining when it mattered, they were right behind the reds.

Cant wait maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm actually enjoying us being in the playoffs. should we lose, I'll actually be proud of this season and actually be looking forward to next season.
Having sat in a different part of the ground amongst people who dont normally attend games, I've turned into one of those grumpy old Barstewards who complains when the ground gets full. apparently.
Early goal and Hudders will **** it.. been said elsewhere that being 1-0 nil up and the home side is a strange position to be in.
