Ain't no easy way to back up DVD's.
    Only degrees of difficulty.
Probably best to get DVD Shrink to rip the original and compress it to fit on a DVD-R.
Then whatever came with your DVD writer (Nero etc) to burn it.
    There are guides at www.doom9.org

If you have Broadband then hop off down to mininova.org and get some torrents.....
Latest Nero Burning ROM and DVDShrink, DVDShrink will use Nero to burn after decrypting & compressing files. Easy
Clone DVD - works most of the time, I think it is standalone
One click Copy DVD (you will need dvd4free installing (google it)to defeat macrovision)- used it once, pretty easy.
