I've saved a DVD to my hard drive with the intention of picking bits out of it to make a new dvd. Trouble is the folder is full of VOB, INF & BUP files that Windows Movie Maker cannot use - there are 4 VOB files each 1GB in size. I've downloaded a converter, but the best I can manage is to convert the first few minutes of each VOB file. Where am I going wrong? I'm using a free utility called 'Prism' that hasn't got any limitations.
Re-Author the disk with DVDShrink It's a free application that will allow you to pick out hte bits you want and then burn to a new DVD. http://www.videohelp.com/ http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Shrink HTH, Stephejn
I'd definitely do the DVDshrink route - its free, you can reauthor, and set your compression settings if you need to get more than 4.5GB on a DVD
