    can anyone recommend a cheapish but decent dvd recorder?</p>

    i'm wanting it to basically record stuff off freeview . . . is this possible?</p>

    Freeview hard drive recorders at tesco 80 odd pound,make sure you get one with twin tuner if you get one,they will record two different programs at the same time.
