Any recommedations? And is it (or can it be made to be) multi-regional?

Panasonic DMRES10 looks decent for £120.

Probably buy one to replace my sh*te LG deck...

Won't record on my cow DVD-Rs - the b*****...

 

Stand alone. My old DVD player's on its way out and I gave my video recorder away, so thought I might kill two birds with one stone.

 

I think you can get DVD recorders that are multi region for playback but they only record in region 2.

If you find out let me know as I want one to supplement my Sky+

 

Have you considered a PVR/DVD mate?

You'd save in the long run only commiting to disc what you want to keep.

It's a hard drive you use like a VCR but you can put anything you want to keep for good onto DVD.</p>



You can store hours and hours and acess anything immediately.</p>

It has Freeview built in, and has a Sky+ type recording guide. You can then buy a multi region DVD player for £24.00 from Asda.

Only thing is, you can't commit anything to disc.

Only bind is that my parents Aerial points to Belmont instead of Emley Moor , so it can only pick up the 6 Channels that
Belmont broadcasts in Digital.
