Anyone know of any decent (and preferably easy to use) programs for ripping video / audio from DVD and any programs that can edit (cut sections from as opposed to any special effects) the consequent files?

I have tried some (VirtualDubMod for example) but with little success...

Ideally they should be free but I don't mind the reg fees if they actually work.

    TIA

    Ta, mate...

I might've found one though that, possibly, does both - I'll bear that one in mind just in case it doesn't work...

    Thanks again...

DVDShrink will do all of that

If you choose to re-author the dvd (and extract various sections) you will obviously lose the menus (it will just play as a single title).

Did I mention it is free?

    Doesn't export them as MPG / AVI / WMV / 3GP though...

I need to embed the clips in a PowerPoint presentation...

I've found a program (Imtoo) that seems to do the job...

    Cheers anyway...
