http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/InsideOakwellDetail/0,,10309~965632,00.html so even he thought he was crap on saturday!!! maybe he listened to radio sheffield after the game...?
Felt sorry for him. Dumped into central midfield against one of the leagues best teams. Poor management that in my opinion.
The lad needs time to gel with his new team mates, system of play and come to terms with football 2 divisions higher than he's been playing in.

I dont think he was crap, just not as good as Howard, Togwell or McCann Should have started on the bench, he has just jumped 2 divisions. Another Davey Masterstroke
fair play to the lad if he's prepared to work hard to get up to speed then good stuff begs the question, why throw him in the deep end?
At least if he recognises the fact that he needs to speed up and increase his fitness etc he will do so. Good luck to him it was a difficult situation for him on Saturday.
Not his fault at all At least he is being honest saying he needs to improve and find his feet at this level - unlike Davey who sees nothing wrong with Saturday other than missed chances.
Whats all this crap about Dwyane Mattis.....................Dwayne Mattis is a good footballer Your all saying - "how can he be any good from a club called Bury and only costing £50K". That sounds like football snobbery to me. Any player from any division would find it difficult to adapt when thrown into a team when he has only been at that club for 2 days. Dwyane Mattis showed some skillful touches, good tackles and some intelligent running off the ball to prove that he is a good footballer Mark my words - for £50k we have stolen him I can remember a bloke called Ronnie Glavin being booed for the first 3 matches he played at the WELL Even then you could see that Ronnie had talent but the majority of the crowd just couldn't see it. So get off Dwaynes back
Things I've learnt this week about Dwayne Mattis 1) He will definitely go on to be as good as Dave Nugent. They were both bought from Bury. Ipso Facto. 2) He will definitely go on to be as good as Ronnie Glavin. They both had quiet debut games. Ipso Facto.
RE: Things I've learnt this week about Dwayne Mattis Apparently EVERYONE on here remembers Glavin's poor debut game and they all knew though that he'd come good. Amazing.

Aye, but half way through that game he pulled his shirt out of his shorts and just gave up playing. I properly hated him after that. More than any other Barnsley player before or since.
