Anybody know how much our 2nd offer was? is he really the answer to our problems?

    Let's wait and see....

He must be good enough if Wilkinson and Davey think he can do a job for us.

Give the lad a break before you write him off.

    Don't know and no

no idea how much our second offer was but I don't think he is the answer to our problems. Unless the club know that Brian Howard is leaving and therefore need to fill the role of attacking midfielder. I can't see Mattis being as good as Howard and I honestly believe we will go down if Howard leaves.

However, if Howard is staying then I really think a Ronnie Wallwork replacement holding midfielder should be at the top of our list in terms of midfielders, I feel a centre half and a striker are clearly more important still.

Are you on a wind-up , they havent signed a player who has improved us yet.

No wonder Ricthie wasn't signing anyone if the ones that we have seen so far are anything to go by.

I like brian howard, think he's a quality player, but he's not the only lad in the team. I am not saying we wouldn't miss him if he went, and I think he has been our best player this season, but what about the rest of the team. imo, we shouldn't pin all our hopes on one player, it's alot of pressure to cope with and when he has an off day everyone is on his back. I agree, we don't have a great squad, but we should think positively instead of condeming ourselves to league 1 already!

Not havin a go mate, just giving my opinion

RE: agree centre half and striker is priority.

Togwell has improved and if howard stays CM should be ok. Mattis may be good as back up to them two.
Lucketti & Maclaod? that would be ideal.

Saw him play plenty of times for Huddersfield.

He'd have to improved by a 1000 times to be championship class, let alone be able to lift the club out of the relegation zone.

    250k

that leaves us with £1.75 million to sign a defender and a goalscorer according to many reliable papers

Also read it in the Guardian. Very reliable paper.

Weve got the left back problem sorted. One thing we know about him is that he'll have been broght up well in their academy. Asong as hes got positional sense and can run we'll improve.

Replacement for Wallwork - Mattis, looks like a big athletic lad, hopefully he'll be able to kick a football too.

Backup to Colgan - Lucas, should keep him on his toes and make him perform more consistantly (and cut out mistakes)

just need a striker and maybe a central defender. Plenty of time.

Just my opinion , not being negative , I try to be positive.

I am happy we have signed a left-back at last.
