I have e-mailed Ben Mansford today in what I thought was a private contact. Only to be e-mailed back by the club secretary asking for my Phone number I called only to be spoke to about the subject by her at times I found her oppressive and rude, after the call I called her back and asked her why she had intercepted a private message and took it upon herself to answer.
I understand these have to be vetted but there was nothing in the e-mail offensive or derogatory , I thought e-mails were private and took offence to her not forwarding this to the appropriate recipient , I don't know if this is the case your thoughts welcome ta

How do you know it didn't go direct to Ben? Perhaps, like many execs in many companies, he reads correspondence but hasn't got time to deal with all of it , so delegates to people working to him for that very reason. Nothing in the slightest bit sinister about the process you've outlined.

    The only logical explanation is.....

......Ben Mansford is a time lord.

Hi Noel, many businesses have this kind of email practice in place. Where I work we get sometimes emails from senior executives that come out in their name but the main body is sent out by and signed 'on behalf of' by somebody else.

That aside and regardless of the email practice at the club the lady who called you had no excuse to be rude. If she was rude rather than brusque then I'd take it up with the club.
