Our first four away fixtures are probably the most difficult trips and I don’t expect any points. We’re sixth bottom with a point a game and that may be par for the course up to Christmas. There’s five teams below us and at least another five we’ll better. Mid-table is ok. We do need two or three new signings and hopefully we’ll have a good second half to the season.
If we signed a wing back Williams could go into back three. I’m not sure Cundy, McCarthy, Aitchison and Marsh are good enough.
From what I`ve seen so far, we look weak defensively but on the positive side this season we are shooting from outside of the box which have rewarded us with 2 deflected goals, last season we went side to side passing across the edge of the box going nowhere.
We've just lost by one goal away from home against one of the favourites to go up, who have forgotten about cash issues and started spending silly sums again. Before that we had back to back wins with clean sheets, including against an higher league team. I expect us to win both home games next week and then things will look more rosey.
3 goals against away from 2 games which could have been many many more, need to tighten the defence up in my opinion.

Aitchison and Marsh wil be more than good enough and i think we are fortunate to have them. The need game time under Duff to speed up their development. If that means missing out on promotion this year then its worth it.
Can’t agree on that one mate . Both lack pace . We need a lump up front or someone who can hassle defenders . Norwood could ne the answer I suppose when he’s fit
Is it just me who thinks Marsh not been speedy gonzales is a little over blown? Hes not the fastest, but certainly isn't the slowest. He has good technical ability, decent first touch, underrated a little with his ball control. There's only one way he can improve and that is game time against big boys. Id start him next match
In I kind of agree with your thoughts . However, he's a cracking lad and I don't want him to be given grief too early when the goals don't come . I more worried about the other strikers we have to be honest. I can't see where the goals are coming from
Marsh as come on a ton from last season.Quick, strong body and makes intelligent runs.I'd say similar for Aitchison, both in the first team squad on merit.Tedic may or may not be the answer but another strong body up front would be useful.
I wouldn’t call him quick, personally. And with the size he his, I reckon he’s gonna have to seriously up his striker IQ to succeed at this level. We’ll see..
His small stature is my concern too, same with Aitchison. Both would definitely benefit from a physical presence alongside. Maybe that’ll be Tedic if we ever get to see him or hopefully another striker yet to sign. Options are very limited at the moment and it’s holding us back.
Different era n all that but Micky Butler didn't fare too badly for a little un. Or dare I say Michael Owen?
You’re absolutely right but just think someone to play off and to give defenders a hard time would help no end.
