I think we'll go up this coming season, shouldn't be a team in the division we should fear to be honest, except Wigan I think they'll run away with it (then again teams like them have gone into free fall before). Hate say it too, but I think the blades will be up there too this time around. Gonna be more exciting this season, i can feel it in my water!!
Got to have the pre season optimism though. It's only time of year we can have any. Vaporised by 3rd week in August.
Given we would currently struggle to have enough players for a 5 a side team its hard to tell. im going for an almost exact repeat of last season. slow start murmurings about taking time to gel. then a slight upturn followed by injuries to a few key players. manager sacked to eventually finished between 8th and 12th.
I don't trust the board of directors to get these shrewd signings on strong enough contracts that we can turn bids down in January, if we're in top 4 in the new year, we'll just dismantle squad. We should at least tried to sign Hourihane Scowen & Winnall again this summer but we've not heard anything.
I reckon we'll finish 11th after being "just 6 points off the play-offs" for the entirety of the season.
For us - dodgy start, decent Oct/Nov which takes us into Christmas pondering play-offs, new year collapse, come to within 4 points of bottom 4, end up 10th. Manager bemoans lack of consistency and bring unable to bring players in, 'the club' talk of wanting to build a team and staff with a connection to the Barnsley area and heritage of the club so Johnson gets sacked, job given to Redfearn.
I predict that I and a number of others on the installment season ticket plan will not be allowed entry as the club will have failed to take payment and the box office wont be open
At the moment we will finish in a similar position to last season bottom part of the top half. It's nice people are being optimistic though despite our very inexperienced side and small squad.
Runaway Champions, clinching the title by early April! <img src ="http://cdn.meme.am/instances/500x/57444258.jpg">
