I'll be traveling across and in 7 days be in that big away stand to watch the team finish up and get ready for the match. I think i'd like to see this starting line up next week. If MacDonald's available he'd be in for Jackson. Davies McCarthy Jackson Lindsay Fryers Williams Gardener Hammill Moncur Thiam Ugbo Townsend, Pinnock, Yiadom, McGeehan, Barnes, Bradshaw McBurnie
Isnt thiam a striker? Potts was man of the match last time out but dropped from the 18 entirely? Pearson from starter to not on bench? Fryers over yiadom?
Jackson fantastic against Sunderland and better than McDonald in all previous games would be dropped for McDonald if not suspended???
1, Thiam's played in that position in france. Good off both feet and if we can get him entering the shooting area late he'll be a danger. 2. I personally prefer Moncur over him. One or the other for me. 3. Pearsons covered a position, you could have Jackson on the bench over Pinnock. but Pearsons a long way off the first choice 18 when everyones fit. 4. Of course. Ability wise, he's better imo. Natural left too which is massive for me. Whoever you put in front of him be it Thiam or Barnes/Hammill/Isgrove/Ugbo
You complained thiam Other day was running around like a headless chicken in need of leaning English yet you want him in the first team.
It's nice to see a starting XI that doesn't pick itself in the above debate. Options in nearly all positions which is just what most were crying out for in the transfer window that has just passed. Talented good performing players being pushed out by talented, as yet, untested players.
Thiam's a good player. He's the most expensive player we've brought in for a while. Since Iain Hume. When he's got the ball at feet or it's close to him it's just another game. It's the instructions and whatever. I made a post yesterday that we need someone on that can translate for him. Loads of players in the prem can't speak English. Antonio Valencia didn't learn for years. He had a translator that would tell him what he needed to know.
You have figured all that from two 10 minute cameo's and a couple of u23 games ? How are you not a top manager already ? As for fryers, he may be a good player, maybe not, but the only reason he is in your team is simply because he was in a premier league squad last season
I have only seen him Against Sunderland he dribbled the ball across the pitch and booted it into touch. I'm not saying he's not any good. But you can't base a team selection in who cost most and what league their previous/parent team plays in
You started a thread yesterday bemoaning the fact that he'd been thrown in and lacked direction because he couldn't understand english. You said you really felt for him. There was clearly a veiled dig at PH for hanging him out to dry. Today you're saying he'll be just fine where it suits your argument. As for a translator I'm quite sure he can be issued instructions sufficiently unless you think we need to buy anotherFrench player to run up and down next to him all match.
Davies McCarthy Jackson Lindsey Yiadom Gardner Hammill Potts McGeehan Barnes McBunnie Townsend Moncur Pearson Fryers Bradshaw Ugbo Williams
I don't actually think Hemsworths line up is too bad to be honest, although i do agree hedges has to be in there, cut the kid some slack though for once he has answered all questions put to him and explained his preferred selection in a quite sensible way...
With Hedges I'd go Barnes over him. decent off both feet. Nice left foot cross and can importantly go both ways. I thought Hedges at Bramell lane was a one trick pony. When he was one on one it's onto the left and pass the player with pace or nothing. He's not got a right foot.
To be quite honest I haven't a clue what the best starting 11 is. I hope Hecky has a better idea than me! I'd bet that Moncur will be in it though.
Didn't go to Bramall Lane, but according to all reports the whole team was a one trick pony, and a pony with 3 broken legs at that, so why single Hedges out?
Would we get away with a translator tied to his wrist parolympic style as long as he doesn't kick, head the ball or make the sly tackle
