Got tickets in ESL for game tomorrow, as taking kids (don't want any of that Ponty end riff raff in my daughter's innocent ears!) Anyone know on what row I will be sitting in the rain/ wind snow?? Can't remember seat nos, but I think it sounded a bit too near front for my liking. Maybe row F ...Would we be able to transfer to Family enlosure (top tier) on the day? (All tickets are priced same for this game aren't they?) Been a long time since I've been in ESL. Oh and can I get a beer at half time? (For me not my daughter!) That would be an unusual bonus as I'm not driving/ cycling. (Y)
I go in there and yes you could get a bit wet if it rains, but on the BBC website the forecast is for a sunny day, so maybe it will only be piling it down in Huddersfield And yes you can get a plastic container with about 0.95 pint of expensive watery warmish yellow liquid from the bar if that's what you mean by beer. I reckon you will be able to sit where you want there will be plenty of room. Where you off pre-match?
I sit on Row O and the row in front usually get rained on and we sometimes get a little when it's windy.
One Things For Sure............. and that is there's no way we can be soaked anymore than we were in East Stand at the Southampton game.
Much as I love tarn and the reds... During that game I was hurtling out of control down a mountain in Austria in brilliant sunshine and -15 degrees. I know where I would rather be for at least 2 weeks in a year. Where you drinking pre-match tomorra?
Warm watery yellowish liquid at half time sounds like the best I might get tomorrow. Might not make pre match as youngest has a kids party finishing at 2pm... followed by mad dash (lift) into Oakwell ... unless I insist on getting there earlier which means getting dropped off at station at 11.30am Decisions, decisions. How was the journey?
RE: Warm watery yellowish liquid Thanks for asking, journey was typical Arrive about 10 this morning after leaving ferry in Hull with a hangover. After getting on the ferry at 5.30pm in Rotterdam there's nothing to do except go in the bar (pint) (pint) (pint) Met some interesting people (of both sexes!) and got an invite to visit a 26 year old barmaid who lives in Portugal. Decisions, decisions (fishin) (NOOO) (NOOO) (NOOO) I can't help it it just happens
Yes, probably true. I wanted to go up in family enclosure, but my mum (who is now not coming), hates the steps, and BFC will "because of health & safety" not permit her to use the lift. (Presumably they prefer her to have an asthma attack). Mind you last time we took kids up in the family stand for Palace game, the most entertaining thing was listening to the guy in fron completely lose it over the ref.
Warmish beer? Your joking aren't you. In this weather you're lucky to get it out of the glass its that cold.
Which is probably not such a bad thing, cos it tastes somewhat like urine.

Clearly You have a way with women (and men).... don't think I haven't noticed you asking where DB3K will be pre match ..... you just can't help yourself can you?!!
RE: Clearly Pre match I shall probably be warming myself up under one of the hand dryers in the bogs, if I still feel so bloody cold. If he thinks he's so good with the women, i've got just the one for him.
Nowt wrong with social contact After living in Germany for 4 years I have become medically obsessed with chatting to complete strangers of all ages and sexes. Terrible habit isn't it? Totally incurable. You remember the mid life crisis formula? Better get my calculator out after last night..... (seestars)
