...absolute crap! Couldn't here who was playing, how much extra time was to be played or what the winning 50/50 draw numbers were. Lets hope that they don't need to broadcast any emergency messages because nobody will be able to understand them.

Thought they might have sorted the score board out for the begining of the new season as well!

    RE: Amateurs..NO excuse

t'was the same in the East Stand Lower. When I stood at the front of the stand at HT I got the impression that the speakers were not on at all in the East Stand - All I could hear was the Ponty End Speakers. And that was from the Half way line !!.

    Sort it out.

I sit in East Stand Upper and didn't hear all the names, but the ones I remember are Pat Howard, Colin Swift, Kenny Brown, Frank Bartlett, Duncan Sharp, John Bettany, Derek (Derrick?) Parker, Bob Earnshaw (expected to see him run down touchline, straight to ponty end, just like in't old days).

Agree....Couldnt hear who the old players were.

Really a shame..Other than that a wonderful performance everyone played their part. Like the up front partnership looked very fluid.

The tannoy was looked at on Thursday after the club called in the engineers. The engineers tested one ot 2 things but said the adjustments should solve the problem.

Obviously it didn't and they will be called in on Monday.

Could it have something to do with the mike on the pitch? At the Leeds match they put a call out for a steward and it was as clear as a bell but all the music etc was muffled.

Avent got a clue! - the frustrating part is when the engineer says its fine but patently not. The safety system does seem to work fine but is a different thing altogether.

are you the man on the pitch?

if you are why dont you think about getting an interview with a player or two before the games or at halftime as they leave the pitch try and get a word with them

Is it not more important for Andy Ritchie to get to speak to them?

    I mean really (nodding2fingers)

it would only take a minute

and its not like the team talk starts as soon as they leave the pitch. players go for a piss etc first anyway.
