Easty...........

i'm disapointed my 49ers let Steelers get a try so late on in the second quarter. Still only eight points in it though and Big Ben looks vulnerable.

No, I know that given the opposition it may come good for him this week but couldn't ignore the fact that Delhomme had scored double in each of the last 2 weeks.

I was just waiting for news on Burress, brought in another receiver with a 9pm game just in case so I could do a late swap, but just checked on the NYG website and he's not in the game day inactives.
Would normally have probably just swapped him out but he's leading the league in TD's

Yankees fan ain't ya ? (he says, quickly switching sports). Looks like your'e going to take a 2-1 series lead against the Blue Jays tonight. Currently 6-3 in the 7th. This after two marathon games the last two nights.

Been watching it "live" on Gameday on the MLB website. Had too late nights. Fairly addicted at present, even though my Jays are now well out of it.

No, I'm a Cubs fan, Yankees are my AL team though.

And Cubs are winning - done well to come through and lead their division, going neck and neck with Milwaukee.

It is rather bizarre watching via Gameday live though! Have you tried MLB.tv at all? They had a freeview a month or 2 ago - was good quality.

    Yes, right on that.

Yankees was, until a month ago, the only game I'd been to over there....and I sort of picked up on the Yankees first as they were always on telly....but I can't "embrace" them fully as all their gear has been hijacked by the chavs! I don't mind, for example, going to Oakwell wearing a Cubs hat but I couldn't go with a NYY hat on!

We'll have to have a chat about it sometime. I'd love a game. Maybe I'm a little too old to make the majors but ............ (has anyone ever been picked on purely catching ability ?). I have a glove. And 3 Jays cap. And a Jays shirt I bought in 87 that now fits me like a Nike training vest (twas loose fitting when I bought it) :D Would I get a game ? :D

If we still have a team next year then, yes you'd get a game!

I'm in my 40's, joined them last year, I only went looking to get involved in some way umpiring or scoring and the manager said to come down but he'd probably have me with a glove on!

We often only just manage to put a team out so the more the better, and there's a range of abilities on there - we mainly do it for fun, some people do take it rather more serious - infact we had a brawl this year.
