..don't think there's much need to be after that, though.

Other than that header in the first half, Turnbull had nothing to do other than pick the ball out of the net for both goals.

Defensively poor, undone by 2 long balls. Bailey rightfully taken off after a poor game.

If that Hemmings chance goes in, it's another game. Same with the Winnall header that was cleared off the line. We always looks like scoring.

On another day, we'd have got a point from that.

Roberts and Doyle has good games for them.

Completely agree. Even game even though we were well below our best. Credit to Chezzie though, nullified our main threats in Hourihane and Winnall.

And I've still to see Hourihane have a good 90 minutes

That might be so but when did you last see a midfielder bag 10 goals and have 10 assists at this stage?

That was never going to go in though. Soon as he headed it you could tell it was heading straight for the man on the line to make an easy header clear. It was cleared off the line so couldn't be any nearer to being a goal, but at no point was it close to being one to be fair.

If turnbull was decent and had just a little knowledge about positioning he wouldn't have had to pick the ball out of the net at all!! What the f**k was he doing for both goals????

I can blame turnbull for 1st goal. for stopping when he came for the ball. and been so far off his line. midfield was by passed more often than not by playing the long ball over the top. just as chesterfield was. blame Wilson for playing a striker in hemmings as a midfielder will never be one . we had two midfielder on bench in abbott and tracy to play in the role that hemmings was playing

It's like turnbull gets caught out. He does same for both goals. He's too far forward. If you watch the 2nd goal he runs back and looks at the post to try and position himself. But then he's stood at that post. Instead of the middle of the net. Where he should have been. Where he'd have easily saved it. The first he was just in no mans land. Good finish but it was just pathetic on turnbulls part really

I like turnbull. But he just doesn't seem right to me. Dunno if he's fully fit or not. I've seen him make some good saves, but he's let plenty of poor goals in. Just seems half a yard slow at times

Thing is.............if other managers see the replay of the Chesterfield match (which they will do) they are going to say.........'just soak up the pressure and at the first opportunity give it the big booit up field cos Barnsleys defence just cannot cope with the simple long ball direct approach'.

Danny dint do his homework, if we were to concede Doyle would be the man to stop. Gifted him a brace. That game should have been do a job on Doyle and it could have been an easy win and I think we knew that before the game.
