"I bought this bike 2 weeks ago following my previous bike being stolen from my house. It has only been used once on the roads for a 2 day bike trip and has only done 100 miles. The reason for the sale is that my home insurance company would not give me cash but only replace my stolen bike on a like for like basis, so I now have 2 bikes hence the need to sell this nearly new bike. It performed very well on the bike trip with out any issues at all."

    No I don't think so

I think he's saying that he went out to buy a replacement thinking that they would send him the money for it after however they have now sent him another bike as part of their T&amp;Cs leaving him with 2 bikes exactly the same.</p>

    I think you're right

Sounds like he's saying he went straight out and bought a replacement which is a pretty stupid thing to do without checking with the insurance company but not illegal

My bike came from pretty much the same situation

Mountain bike that is but regardless. Lad has his bike nicked. Insurance replace it but he'd really rather have the money for a car. Lad sells bike to budmustang. Lad is happy. budmustang is unable to express this feeling humans call emotion. budmustang disobeys the first law of robotics and eats a cheese sandwich.
