Once I've listed an item for sale and bids have started, is it possible to amend the listing to allow a "buy it now" option?
I've had a message from someone wanting to buy an item as a birthday present so wants to be able to obtain straight away.

You can close the sale early, cancelling all bids and accept their bid independently

Though I'd be cautious that it's not a scam; you'd probably be sending it to a non payment address.

How do they intend to pay? Can you not get a better price by leaving the auction running?

Not sure I'd get a better price. Selling 2 Ross Noble tickets, so far 1 bid for £20. Face value for both tickets would be £42.50 so if I was able to put a "buy it now" I'd set it at that to get my money back, only listed yesterday (ends Sunday) so I'm hoping (but it's unlikely) that I get my money back for them....otherwise just want to cut my losses.

Take care its not a scam

If the gig is some time after the finish date then let it run.. Dunt matter when Birthday is, if its genuine; if they want them for that they will outbid anybody else.

I don't know how much you've sold on eBay

But you can generally expect to double the price you go into the last day with. It's far too early to be giving up on some proper money.

Oh and you can't add a Buy it now part way through the auction. It disappears with the first normal bid anyway.

Auction finishes Sunday, gig is the following Saturday, so time there to get tickets to them.

I'll let it run. Just noticed 4 people are "watching" the iyem. When I sold Chili Peppers tickets it was looking like I'd hardly get anything and then the bids flooded in during the last hour.

    Cheers everyone.

    Ok ta

Only sold 1 thing before - and that went up a lot in the last hour.
I'd have been happy enough with £20 anyway....just want to cut losses on tickets I can't use.
