Remember him turning up at our house on crutches when I was a kid, he'd done his cartlidge in, he bought a single bed my dad had advertised...
Number Nine for both us and Shrewsbury. Loved his penalties - full power, straight down the middle but high into the net.
Loved Eddie loyden when he was with us ,a good old fashioned centre forward who always put a shift in & new where the net was
Eddie was always a favourite of mine. His debut against the club we'd just signed him from (Shrewsbury Town) on Boxing Day 1968 was a good start, with Eddie scoring the only goal of the match from the penalty spot.
