....it's so funny reading all these apologists to Simon Davey. If we lose next week - which ain't impossible and Leeds and Hull win -which ain't impossible - he will be the Devil re-incarnated you watch. Lets face it - he has done a decent though not spectacular job result wise -and has managed to strengthen the squad which Ritchie either couldn't or didn't want to. The standard of football has actually declined under Davey but some of the early season naivety has also disappeared - and opinions should now not change whether we go up or down.
I think we're safe now, just hoping Leeds go down. Just for the laugh.</p> You're right, job half done, the jury's still out, let's hope we can continue to pick up quality players for small fees like we have done for the last couple of years.</p>
